Dev Log 02.04.26 - Festivals Pt. 2
Welcome back to our preview of festivals! We’ll be looking at the final four festivals today (there are eight in total – the last devlog went over the first four). We’re still fine tuning things so we’re not quite ready to add them into the game yet. Additionally, because these festivals will take some additional time to test, our next devlog will be in four weeks instead of two. Okay! Onto the festivals!
Reel Life - Bonfire Night in Rosenvale
First up is the second Summer festival: Bonfire Night. Food and goodies are standard, of course, and as the newest resident of Rosenvale you get the honors of lighting the bonfire! Be careful with that torch, though!
Reel Life - Mars gets ready to start the judging!
Next up we have Harvest’s Boon – a competitive festival where you can submit all kinds of things for prize money. Submit the best of your crops, livestock produce, fish, and gems to receive a prize of up to 1,000,000 Gold! Also, if you have the funds, there’s a tokenizer vendor who will convert valid crops into tokens for you!
Reel Life - Oh! The city made a good cake this year!
The Cake Festival is next – a fun potluck activity for the whole city! Bring something good to put into the mixing bowl and see what kind of cake results. Good cakes get you friendship points with all the residents. Bad cakes will do the opposite! The cake is so big, there’s enough for leftovers! Come by every hour for another slice.
Reel Life - The stockings are hung for Providence Day eve!
Finally, we have Winter Providence. This is a special Winter festival that will net you lots of free presents from friendly residents. And if you want to increase your friendship with them (or just be nice), be sure to drop presents into their stockings the day before Providence Day. They open their stockings the next morning, so don’t dilly dally!
That’s it for today and we hope you enjoyed our little preview of our festivals. We’ll talk to you again in four weeks. Until then!
