Dev Log 11.26.25
Well, only two weeks after introducing our initial experience system, we’ve already made some drastic changes, ha ha ha. It’s for good reason, though, and involves the new ‘bad’ symbols’ we’ve introduced to help balance out slot machine wins. Let’s take a look at both!
First, let’s start with the bad symbols. We’ve included a small chance of matches you don’t want to win! Let’s go through each match now:
No tokens: Tokens will be banned at this machine – no extra spins!
No free spins: You can no longer collect free spins at this machine, either through matches or bonus wins.
No mini-games: You can no longer play mini-games at this machine, either through matches or bonus wins.
Boot: You get booted from the machine! Feel the pinch when you have a good multiplier going!
Bomb: You can no longer play THIS slot machine for the remainder of the day.
Dynamite Stick: You can no longer play any slot machine of this type for the remainder of the day.
Dynamite Bundle: You can no longer play ANY slot machine for the remainder of the day.
Now, to balance out THESE balances we’ve reworked the experience system into an Experience Shop so that you can use experience to buy items to help you on your journey (as well as gifts for certain slot machine types).
Experience will now be pulled from each slot machine type win into one experience pool. From this pool you can buy upgrades for common slot machines types (just like before), upgrades to your crafting output (just like before), or special items that can’t be found anywhere else!
When you purchase upgrades for slot machine types you can choose a gift for each level (up to 10 levels). Gifts range from additional spins per slot machine to constant multipliers on normal wins.
When you purchase upgrades for crafting benches, you’re purchasing a chance at receiving additional items upon crafting completion. For example, you craft 1 barrel and receive 2, 3, or even 4 barrels as a bonus!
Finally, you’ll have the option to purchase special items found only in the Experience Shop. The cost of each item is subject to change, of course, but let’s go over each item currently in the shop.
Good Fortune Coin: Prevent any bad symbol matches from taking effect for 30 mins (real time).
Luck Potion: +30% luck for 30 mins (real time).
Rare Potion: +30% rare for 30 mins (real time).
Happy Cookie: +1000 Stamina or auto +1000 Friendship points when gifted to a resident.
Happy Cake: x3 Friendship points received for 30 mins (real time).
We’re so happy about both of these changes/additions because they bring a lot of balance and texture to gameplay. We hope you enjoy them too!
Okay – that’s it for today and we’ll see you again in two weeks with more content on the way!
